Katrin Schön was named new product manager of the Spoga trade show, which takes place for the 51st time in Cologne, Germany in early September. Effective March 15, she succeeded Martin Brüggemann, who left Koelnmesse at the end of March to take on new challenges.

When Schön joined Koelnmesse in July 2006, she took on responsibilities for press activities in the House, Garden and Leisure business unit. Schön had served for five years as a specialist editor in the garden sector before coming to Koelnmesse.

“Ms. Schön has trade fair experience and outstanding expertise in the garden sector,” said Metin Ergül, vice president of House, Garden and Leisure.

Schön also became product manager of spoga+gafa, the parallel garden products trade show that will take place Sept. 5-7, 2010.

Preiss

Henriette Preiss, 30, succeeded Schön in her former press relations position. Preiss had worked for the House, Garden and Leisure business unit for two years.
