Home Comfort reports successful summer
September 15, 2005-- Casual Living,
Home Comfort introduced a variety of designs from exciting new artists in its Jellybean line during the summer gift and trade shows.
"The summer shows are the perfect opportunity to try out new ideas, new design directions and new artists," said Renee Ringstad, vice president of merchandising for the Cresc Corporation, parent company of Home Comfort.
Among the new designs hitting big with the buyers this season are Birthday Cupcake by Ann Zenor and Cupcake with Cherry by Ellen Crimi-Trent. Both of the colorful accent rugs target one of the newest trends in home accents — the cupcake. Another winner at the show was Jennifer Clark's whimsical floral designs like Sunny Flower and Summertime Flowers.
"The buyers really gravitated toward Jennifer's bright colors," Ringstad said. "It seemed that the brighter the colors were, the better they liked the design."
