Cal spas honors its top dealers
Pool & Spa Outlet and Spa & Leisure of Plymouth, retailers of outdoor living furnishings, were recently honored as the top dealers for Cal Spas, a leading home resort products manufacturer. More than 500 dealers from around the world competed for top sales honors.
Serving the Los Angeles area since 1999, Pool & Spa Outlet has stores in Loma Linda, Victorville, Moreno Valley, Corona and Anaheim. Pool & Spa won the Total Home Resort Award, Platinum Award and the Cal Enclosures Gazebo Award, combining to make it Cal Spas' top dealer of home resort products.
Serving the Minneapolis-St. Paul area since 1992, Spas & Leisure is located in Plymouth, Woodbury, Coon Rapids, Barnsville and was honored with the Diamond Award, signifying Cal Spas' No. 1 spa dealer.
These international awards for sales excellence were presented at the Cal Spas Expo, a four-day event at Southern California's Ontario Convention Center where Cal Spas' latest home resort products were unveiled. To honor its dealers, Cal Spas hosted a private concert by Glenn Frey of the Eagles and a motivational talk by former NFL quarterback Joe Montana.

Hall & Oates to headline High Point Market concerts
High Point Market-goers will once again be treated to a Market week filled with music, entertainment, free food and drink thanks to a series of concerts and themed events sponsored by the High Point Market Authority.
The "Stars Under The Stars" event series kicks off Monday evening, March 26, with pop rock duo Daryl Hall and John Oates under the Showplace tent along with multiple food and beverage stations. With more than 60 million albums sold, Hall & Oates' repertoire includes eight No. 1 singles, along with dozens of hits throughout the past three decades.
Tuesday, March 27, brings jazz, blues and gospel great Melva Houston, a North Carolina native.
Wednesday night, March 28, market guests can rock 'n' roll with Eddie Money singing his '70s hits while sampling a variety of food and beverage stations.
Thursday, March 29, Market-favorite The Cookie Band returns.
Friday, March 30, brings the slick look, cool attitude and funky sounds of Morris Day and the Time. A full dinner service will be offered on Saturday evening.
Fraser named president of Southern Sales & Marketing
Ken Harbaugh, CEO of Southern Sales & Marketing Group, Inc., manufacturer of the Southern Patio line of outdoor products, announced that Joe Fraser was named company president.
"2007 is expected to be one of our best years ever," Harbaugh said. "We expect growth in all areas, and Joe is the man to lead us into the bright, bright future."
Fraser, who was formerly the senior vice president, has been with the company for seven years. As senior vice president, Fraser was instrumental in establishing, staffing and training personnel for three Southern Patio offices in mainland China, as well as continually sourcing new products and handling major customer accounts.
Scyphers named VP of Oxford Garden
Oxford Garden appointed Brian Scyphers vice president, supply chain management. Scyphers will establish and manage supplier relationships and oversee production, quality control and flow of products from suppliers to customers. Scyphers previously worked as senior manager, industrial engineer, for BellSouth Telecommunications, now AT&T.
Scyphers' appointment comes as a key part of the ownership changes at the company where co-owner Randy Meek has an agreement to purchase the remaining company shares held by Paul Sandman.
Peters expands to PR with Charleston Forge
Charleston Forge announced Monica Peters will be expanding her current responsibilities to include public relations. Peters' role with Boone, N.C.-based Charleston Forge since May 2006 has been in sales, conducting sales trainings for a few key accounts, as well as developing designer relationships.
