Brown Jordan to debut Richard Frinier designs at fall High Point Market

Elements, Stretch and Swim designs exhibit innovation and comfort from distinguished Brown Jordan legacy brand

Brown Jordan, a leading luxury outdoor furnishings manufacturer and distinguished legacy brand, announces the debut of its newest designs - Elements, Stretch and Swim - from the 2012 Richard Frinier Collection for Brown Jordan at the fall High Point Market, Oct. 22-27.

Visitors to the market will discover three compelling designs exhibiting innovation, a chic and enduring design sensibility and comfort for which the legendary Brown Jordan brand and one if its most prolific designers over the past 30 years are best known.

Elements, Stretch and Swim will undoubtedly resonate with design enthusiasts everywhere for their dynamic forms, unique use of diverse materials, elegant new fabrics and subtle color ways.

"In continuing our long-standing collaboration with Richard Frinier, we are building on our company's legacy of bringing to the worldwide marketplace innovative, stylish and award-winning designs exhibiting a strong emotional and international appeal," said Stephen Elton, VP of sSales and marketing for Brown Jordan.

Elements was created to bring thought to what can be achieved using the various elements of good design and stylish forms. Uniquely shaped and artfully crafted pieces, combining a new, hand-woven and mohair-textured Resinweave with powder-coated aluminum frames, set the stage for functional and flexible exterior and interior spaces.

"It combines all of the components that make for rest, comfort and relaxation in our living room," Frinier said during the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market.

Swim represents a fresh, light and sporty perspective for outdoor and casual living spaces with its linear profile made of powder-coated aluminum frames and Versatex mesh taut sling upholstery. Its overall clean lines and simple angular detail of the backrest energize the spirit suggesting both movement and activity even at rest.

Warm, neutral tones repeat in Swim, which combines a light, sailing sling with slight angles and tapered legs to achieve an athletic stance. Frinier described the upholstery as an evolution of sling. "It's not PVC; it's acrylic," he said. "The styles trend right for today's indoor comfort and it's extremely well-priced for the retailer who is looking to furnish pool and patio."

A modern take on vintage Brown Jordan strap designs, Stretch evolves and elevates previous perceptions about classical strap furniture by incorporating a new elastomeric strap in two different widths hand-woven together to achieve a very refined and comfortable seating surface conforming to a sophisticated and soft-modern brass frame.

These three new collections are the latest creations to emerge from the Richard Frinier Collection for Brown Jordan following a successful trilogy of designs unveiled one year ago at the 2010 Maison et Objet fair in Paris called, Cloud Nine, Still and Drift. The co-branded compilation of six collections represents a unique and compelling mix of to-the-trade and specialized retail designs for Brown Jordan's strong following of architects, interior and landscape designers, corporate buyers and high-end retail distributors of luxury furnishings.

The Elements, Swim and Stretch collections are officially launching through trade and retail channels for the 2012 season. In addition to Brown Jordan's collaboration with Frinier, the company's focuses in 2011, for both trade and retail, encompass two new showrooms, strategic retail and supplier partnerships, and an enhanced digital footprint.
