Caluco, Doug Miers Group team up to sell new collections

Custom patio furniture to premier soon in Los Angeles, Houston and Dallas showrooms

Caluco has partnered with sales agency Doug Miers Group, which has reps located throughout Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas, to sell its Ferrara and Vittoria custom patio furniture collections that debuted at last week's High Point Market.

Miers brings more than 40 years of experience and connections in the furniture market to Caluco. "All our reps are confident in their ability to sell these exclusive lines, only available to select showrooms," said Ari Tuvia, sales manager, Caluco.

The collections will be available in six weeks at Caluco's partner showrooms in Los Angeles, Houston and Dallas. In the meantime, the company will be reaching out to existing customers via email with photos and information about the collections.

"People were anxious to touch and feel the hand-crafted woven materials, and they were curious about the unique manufacturing process," said Tuvia. "Many visitors to our Pavilions booth asked how they could get the collections to sell in their stores. They said they'd never seen anything like it before."

Both collections were created by in-house Caluco designers who have an extensive portfolio in outdoor furniture design. The materials chosen for the collections are a powder-coated iron designed with distinctive wires. The unusual gray and white weave is hand-crafted in the Philippines by craftsmen who have made furniture for several notable Hollywood clients.
