Eller was previously vice president at Paladin Inds. and replaces Wayne McNeely, who was recently named president of Heritage House Fabrics. Eller, who has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, also has worked for companies including Shadow Mountain, Alexvale and Blackwelder Furniture.
Eller said he was intrigued by the potential at Braxton Culler when he toured its 400,000-sq.-ft. production facilities here.
"Like most, I knew they did wicker and rattan, but in getting to know them I was blown away by just how multidimensional they really are," he said. "Not only do they make some serious upholstery, still produced here in North Carolina, they are equally adept at finishing and they also know how to import. They have a ton of untapped resources and they can do a lot of things that others can't."
"We are very pleased to have an executive of Bob Eller's caliber join our team," said founder Braxton Culler.
Braxton Culler moved into the production of licensed goods for the first time with the introduction of the Libby Langdon upholstery collection. The collection, which debuted nearly two years ago, continues to grow in volume and retail placements and will be expanded with new product at the spring High Point Market, according to company officials.
