Voorhis' responsibilities will include the planning, development and evaluation of new fabric lines. He will also work with the Glen Raven Custom Fabrics market managers and sales teams to oversee exclusive fabric design work for the company's broad customer base. Voorhis will continue to report to Gina Wicker, design and creative director for Glen Raven Custom Fabrics.

Voorhis earned a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from Lander University in Greenwood, S.C., and began his career with Dickson SA, which merged with Glen Raven in 1998. His overall tenure with the companies includes 14 years of fabric design and development.

Celebrating 50 years of innovation in 2011, the Sunbrella brand revolutionized the way the world thinks of beautiful performance fabrics with its entrance to the marketplace in 1961.
