Ruggiero's High Point debuts focus on classics

Ruggiero recently joined forces with Miles Talbott, an upscale upholstery manufacturer.
"Joe's designs are a great fit for the Miles Talbott look and will enhance our overall offerings," said George Jordan, president of Miles Talbott. "We are also looking forward to the addition of Sunbrella, which has such a great story behind it as a performance fabric and now as a lifestyle brand."
Ruggiero's fall offerings are presented in five distinct fabric groups — Ikats, Lace, Textures, The Look of Classic Cotton and The Look of Sexy Silk. The fabric groups feature best-selling Ruggiero patterns, such as Trax, Chenilla and Courtyard, joined by innovative looks of Romeo and Ping. "Classic is a powerful word that we use with care," Ruggiero said. "You can never go wrong with the classics, and consumers are always drawn to the tried and true, provided they can punch them up with color or a distinctive new pattern. These are our goals for the Sunbrella collection this fall."
Highlights of the collection include the Lace group, offering an intricate trellis effect, Ruggiero said, and the Look of Sexy Silk Collection.
"Just as we can create Sunbrella fabrics that look like cotton, we can create Sunbrella fabrics that look and feel as silk," he said.
Ruggiero's highly stylized Fleur Du Mai pattern is based on his own floral sketches and reminiscent of other Ruggiero floral patterns including Joe's Leaf and Joe's Tulip.
