Lexington Home Brands unveils Tommy Bahama collection in Chicago

Lexington Home Brands launched its Tommy Bahama Outdoor Living brand this week at Venue One in Chicago.
The Venue One showroom, located one mile from the Mart, across from Harpo Studios, opened at 8:30 a.m. A cocktail party celebrating the new brand launch took place from 3-6 p.m. with dealers and prospects from across the country in attendance.

"We're gonna do it because we're big on indoor Tommy Bahama, so it makes since to go big on the outdoor. Plus it's just gorgeous," said Bill Bacon, president, Bacon's Furniture and Bacon's Outdoor Living.
Tommy Bahama, whose motto is "Make Life one Long Weekend" has evolved from a purveyor of island-inspired camp shirts to a worldwide lifestyle brand with 102 retail stores and 13 restaurant locations in the U.S., newly opened units in Singapore and Macau, and a Hong Kong unit scheduled to open in November. The company's U.S. flagship location in New York is also slated to open in November. The 8,500-sq.-ft. destination, comprised of a retail store, restaurant and two bars, will be located at 551 Fifth Ave. and 45th Street in the historic Art Deco Fred F. French building.

"The design kiosk is genius. Plus there are a lot of global looks that make this perfect for hospitality and contract," said Simone Baptiste, a Gary, Ind.-based interior designer and NEWH board member, hospitality chapter.
The Tommy Bahama Outdoor Living showroom will be open Sept. 19-22 from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Lexington is providing private car service to and from Venue One. Call 336-687-5001 for pick up.
