HD Boutique to spotlight fabrics
Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, July 23, 2010
More than 450 global manufacturers are expected to display their latest collections and dazzling products at Hospitality Design Boutique, set for Sept. 14-15, at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The industry show attracts 3,500 key decision makers from the hospitality design industry and draws notable textile manufacturers who will display an array of striking patterns, materials, colors and designs that are used in fabrics for current and future hospitality projects.
In a space that spans more than 70,000 square feet, the following exhibitors will be featuring some of the latest textiles and eye-catching fabrics at HD Boutique this fall:
Chella Textiles (Booth 807) - Chella Textiles will be featuring the Murano Strie Collection, which is composed of 100% solution-dyed acrylic ideal for upholstery, drapery, and pillows for indoor and outdoor use. The line includes a variegated spiraling of color evocative of the uniquely Venetian Murano glass-making technique dating back to the 13th century. The product is offered in 16 versatile colors ranging from sandstone to periwinkle and is machine washable, lightfast and resists mildew and stains. Although inspiration for the collection comes from Italy, the product is woven in America.
Robert Allen Contract (Booth 1914 & 1915) - Robert Allen Contract will be featuring two exciting new collections, including Boutique Studio and Solid Textures II. Boutique Studio brings a European approach to color to American design sensibilities in a lifestyle collection for outdoors, top of the bed and drapery fabrics. Bold scale, innovative designs and new vibrant colors make these exciting show-stoppers. The Solid Textures II Collection offers tailored menswear-inspired solids in true shades of basic colors. The wide range of offerings and value price points will make this collection a "go-to" resource.
Fabricut Contract (Booth E1701) - Fabric Contract will introduce the new FR-One Guardian Collection this September at HD Boutique. Fabricut Contract's latest inherently flame retardant, dim-out program features a silky-smooth satin solid teamed with three embossed transitional designs: Escort - transitional scrollwork; Protect - 3-D mini diamond; and Sentinel - horizontal wave. Available in 12 coordinating colors, it's viable for all bedding applications.
Edelman Leather (Booth E1417) - Edelman Leather, a leading brand of luxury leathers for interiors, will be showcasing the exciting Croco Loco Collection at HD Boutique. Featuring European hides that are full grain in an assortment of vibrant colors, Edelman has changed the classic look of crocodile leather and transformed it into a colorful, festive look - offering solids or a combination of rich colors including purple, green, blue, orange, brown and gold. All of the leathers in this collection are GREENGUARD certified.
Garrett Leather (Booth 2200) - Garrett Leather will be presenting the new DiModa Collection at HD Boutique. The collection features 33 new vibrant colors in three styles that provide beauty to furniture, wall coverings, floor coverings and accessories. The Italian cowhides undergo several finishing techniques to achieve the final depth of color, alluring texture and radiant surface. The DiModa Collection represents the epitome of Italian style, offering superior quality, bold hues, and a smooth hand that is irresistible to touch. The collection is available in half hide sizes averaging between 18 to 24 square feet, the perfect size to use as accent pieces, pillows, or trim; all colors are GREENGUARD certified.
Mayer Fabrics (Booth 1939) - Mayer Fabrics introduces the new Wabi-Sabi Collection of recycled polyester fabrics at HD Boutique reflecting the Japanese aesthetic and Zen concept of finding beauty in things imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. The patterns remain true to these concepts through uneven patterning and simple design elements. The color palette of the collection is primarily earthy with neutrals, olives, rusts, deep blue, turquoise and marigold. Patterns are composed of 100% post-consumer recycled polyester including Charade, Karma and Reiki. Charade was inspired by natural wood objects such as branches and twigs. The subtle color variation and striation create a dimensional background and texture. Karma's design was inspired by shapes found in tea pots, uneven lines and overlapping ovals and loops. The pattern Reiki mimics woven screens and mats from Japanese tea houses with fine vertical and horizontal linear strokes.
Valley Forge Fabrics, Inc. (Booth 2114) - Valley Forge Fabrics will be unveiling the Earthshine 3 Collection, which features textured sheers, silky draperies and detailed embroidery inspired by the simplicity and colors of a perfect dawn over a lush green summer field. The collection features more than 80 stocked wide width products to create new drama within a trusted fire retardant brand.
HD Boutique is produced by the Hospitality Design Group, part of Nielsen Expositions, which also will produce the HD Expo & Conference in Las Vegas on May 18-20, 2011. The event is in association with: International Interior Design Association (IIDA); International Society of Hospitality Purchasers (ISHP), National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ); American Society of Interior Designers (ASID); and NEWH, Inc.-The Hospitality Industry Network.
