Dedon's Yin Yang Collection wins honor

Dedon, manufacturer of indoor/outdoor furniture handcrafted of Dedon Hularo fiber, announced that its newest signature collection, Yin Yang, was the recipient of a design award from the International Interior Design Association and Hospitality Design magazine, which recently publicized the winners of the 11th Annual IIDA/Hospitality Design Product Design Competition held during the 2007 HD Expo May 9–12 in Las Vegas.

IIDA partners with HD on the educational component of the show and sponsors this annual product design competition.

According to the IIDA organization, this year's winners represented a group of products lauded for innovative and aesthetic properties, including direct hospitality applications.

Yin Yang, designed by Nicolas Thomkins exclusively for Dedon GmbH, won best design in the Seating Group or Series, Lounge category of the competition. Janus et Cie, Dedon's exclusive distributor in the United States, exhibited at this important trade show venue and was available to receive the award on Dedon's behalf.

Although awards are not mandatory for this competition, judges must find exemplary new introductions whose properties present innovation, technical advancements, cost effectiveness, environmental responsibility, aesthetics and need and usage in the hospitality industry.
