Georgia Backyard opens second American Backyard superstore in Southlake, Texas

Retailer's growth strategy brings casual furniture into top metro areas

Georgia Backyard, Inc., a leading retailer of casual furniture and outdoor accents, opened its second American Backyard superstore in Southlake, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.

"Our growth strategy is to bring the very best the casual furniture industry has to offer to the country's top metropolitan markets," said Dean Luckino, president and CEO of Georgia Backyard, Inc. "The opportunity to extend our brand of retailing throughout the Dallas metropolitan area with American Backyard is very exciting." Located at 200 North Kimball Avenue in Southlake, American Backyard represents a unique blend of stylish presentation, vast selection and compelling values over a 20,000-sq.-ft. canvas. "American Backyard pioneers a completely new approach to casual furniture retailing by placing customers in warm and inviting settings which they can envision creating by their pools, on their decks, patios or in their favorite casual getaway," Luckino said. The end-result is a retail model that represents a dramatic shift from traditional casual furniture retail methods. American Backyard offers an extensive selection of quality casual furniture, Sundance Spas, grills, gas logs and outdoor accents. "We have created a warm and inviting retail environment that appeals to all the senses, wherein consumers can both imagine and experience the possibilities," Luckino said. "There is nothing more rewarding for us than to see the smile of satisfaction on a customer's face. This is a fun industry. We love doing what we do!"
Founded in 1991, Atlanta-based Georgia Backyard, Inc. operates 5 stores in the greater Atlanta area under the name Georgia Backyard, and operates stores in Plano and Southlake, Texas as American Backyard.  Georgia Backyard/American Backyard is recognized as an industry leader and is the recipient of many industry awards, including the prestigious Apollo Award, Casual Living magazine's Most Fashionable Retailer Award.
