Kotzum named Casual Show marketing director
JACLYN KOTZUM was named marketing director for the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market, replacing Elizabeth Cooley, who has left the company.
Kotzum has been public relations manager at Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. for more than a year. In addition to the September Casual Market, Kotzum also will manage the marketing initiatives for the permanent casual furnishings showrooms at The Merchandise Mart.
Atkinson joins Jane Hamley Wells as sales executive
ASHLEY ATKINSON joined Jane Hamley Wells, an upscale contemporary outdoor furniture manufacturer and wholesaler, as sales executive focused on design channels in the Chicago and Midwest territory, primarily top-tier A&D firms.
O.W. Lee makes sales appointments
O.W. Lee has made recent sales changes. Kit White now represents Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle; Donald Fleischman represents Virginia and West Virginia. Michael Pachter was added to O.W. Lee's Chicago Merchandise Mart showroom. Tode Rubenstein was added in northern California and Ron Rubenstein covers Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia, Canada.
Koelnmesse removes CEO, names temporary head
JOCHEN WITT was removed from his post as president and CEO of Koelnmesse. Herbert Marner, executive vice president of Koelmesse with responsibility for finance, was appointed as temporary head of Koelnmesse. Marner has emphasized the need for continuity.
Leader's promotes three
LEADER'S CASUAL Furniture has named Kathy Horner as distribution director. Horner has held various positions throughout the organization, most recently as warehouse manager, since 1994.
Chris Demato was promoted as administrative director. Demato has been with Leader's since 2000.
Larry Watt recently was named chief marketing officer. Watt has played a key role in Leader's sales team since 1991 when he was hired as a part-time salesman. He also has served as store manager and an upper management staff member for eight years.
Dallas Market Center names chief financial officer
NANCY WINTON has joined the Dallas Market Center as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Winton brings experience in the wholesale and retail industries such as Pier 1 Kids and FootAction USA.
"Nancy has a proven track record of successfully managing accounting and international finance as well as information technology teams," said Bill Winsor, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. "Her experience provides her with very relevant grounding for the industries we serve. We are confident in her leadership abilities and look forward to the contributions she will make to our company."

FORMER CASUAL furniture retailer and well-known manufacturers' rep Richard "Dick" Forslund, 55, of Geneva, Ill., and formerly of Aurora, Ill., died on May 7, in Key Colony Beach, Fla.

ALAN L. KLEIN, a longtime outdoor furniture sales rep who earned the nickname nine-line Klein because of the large number of lines he represented, died on April 12.
