Gloster wins two 2013 Interior Innovation Awards

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. - Outdoor furniture manufacturer Gloster announced it recently received two Interior Innovation Awards from the German Design Council. Launched in 2002 by IMM Cologne, the annual awards recognize outstanding design in the home furnishings industry.

Gloster received the "Interior Innovation Award - Winner 2013" distinction in the outdoor products category for its Dansk lounge chair by Philip Behrens.
"Traditional and modern materials combine in the Dansk collection to create imposing yet welcoming forms," a company press release states. "Light, tactile and pleasant to the eye, Dansk strikes a familiar chord with its clean, tapering lines that hark back to a classic Danish furniture design for all seasons."
Gloster also received the "Interior Innovation Award - Selection 2013" recognition in the outdoor products category for the Source lounge chair by Mathias Hoffmann.

The company describes Source as "designed to be at home with nature in the familiar and welcoming calm of your own space - with smooth, compelling curves to relax into and an ambience that will rejuvenate your senses."
The 2013 Interior Innovation Awards were presented in January in Cologne, Germany.
