Alfresco Home taps into Outdoor Living trend
Gary Evans -- Casual Living, August 1, 2004
Joseph Cilio, former vice president of sales and marketing of Campania International, launched a line of upscale home and garden decor products this month to help independent garden centers and casual furniture, home furnishings and gift retailers bridge outside living with interior decorating.
From casual furniture and patio torches to silk botanical flowers and interior home accents, Alfresco Home features seven product categories that help complete a customers' outdoor living experience, expand store sales into all four seasons and increase repeat traffic.
The line will make its debut at the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market next month in spaces J306-J312.
Calling on more than 17 years in sales, marketing and product development with Campania International, Cilio is designing many of the products.
Alfresco Home, which Cilio describes as a boutique design and distribution company, was created to make it easier for home, garden and casual furniture retailers to tune into the expanding needs of today's consumers while giving them a onestop shopping experience for alfresco living.
Based on his experience with retailers over the years, Cilio saw a need for a comprehensive distribution network for decor products for the home and garden.
"We'll do the leg work, search for or design the quality products at a good value and then bring the best of the best to the various independent merchants," Cilio said. "This allows the buyers to experience a dozen new categories under one umbrella while maximizing their time with one vendor."
Alfresco Home will be distributed through a network of representatives. For more information, you can reach Cilio at 610-630-0502 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
