Frankfurt am Main -- If the calendar is drawing to a close that means Ambiente is around the corner. In preparation, organizers released statistics and programing notes for the upcoming iteration of the international show.
Over 4,700 exhibitors will occupy 27 exhibition halls at the upcoming fair, held in Frankfurt am Main from February 7 to 11. The Living section, spread over five halls, features 1,100 international companies and brands, targeting furnishings buyers. Over 140,000 trade buyers from over 140 countries attended in 2013.
Hall 11 is the place to go for design-oriented ideas for the home and giving. Modern design products are showcased at Loft in Hall 11.0 while Young & Trendy is the theme of Hall 11.1. Avant-garde exhibitors in Hall 11.0 will include Fatboy, Reisenthel and Umbra. At Interiors & Decoration in Halls 8.0 and 9.0, buyers will find a high-end selection of international furnishing companies.
The show also features trend presentations and opportunities for young designers to launch their careers. A showcase of innovative interior-design creations by young up-and-coming designers takes place in Hall 11.0. In the same hall, the Next program helps start-up entrepreneurs with a design background make international contacts. Interior design trends will be presented in Galleria, curated by trend bureau bora.herke.palmisano. The presentation will be supplemented by guided tours and lectures throughout the fair.
Japan is the fair's Partner Country, the third Ambiente Partner Country and the first from Asia. A themed day, activities and events are on tap in honor of the partnership.
