Find Stats on The Outdoor Shopper
November 22, 2013,
Lifestyle furniture stores, such as Ikea, Pottery Barn, West Elm and Crate & Barrel, are where one-third of consumers prefer to shop for outdoor dining sets, according to our latest report on The Outdoor Shopper.
The lifestyle channel is most popular with younger consumers. The data shows that 37% of both Millennials, with adults between 18 and 32, and Generation X, between ages 33 and 48, like to shop there. Reasons for shopping lifestyle stores include stylish product, affordable prices and convenient store locations.
This report explores where consumers prefer to shop for outdoor dining sets and conversation groups, as well as what shoppers are looking for in those product categories. Casual Living and New York-based Apartment Therapy fielded an online survey this May. The survey asked consumers about the outdoor spaces around their home, as well as the outdoor products they own and where they prefer to shop for products. It garnered responses from 500 consumers.
