Paddock Pools, Patios & Spas launches retail concept

Interactive displays encourage shoppers to use product.

After 50 years of selling pool and backyard supplies through traditional retail outlets across Arizona and Nevada, Paddock Pools, Patios & Spas has launched Backyard Entertainment Center concept stores in Las Vegas and Phoenix.

The new Las Vegas store, located in Arroyo Market Square, opened to the public on Memorial Day weekend. The Phoenix store opened to the public April 25.

Paddock’s innovative one-stop shop features a full service putting green, a trampoline, two children’s play structures, above-ground pools with operating remote control boats and other sport equipment. Visitors are able to use all the equipment in the Backyard Entertainment Center as well as shop Paddock’s regular line-up of pools, spas, patio furniture, pool supplies, barbeques and more.

“We worked for years on development and implementation of this new concept to ensure that it would become a fun destination for families,” said Jim Cich, president and CEO. “We wanted to make Paddock a place where shoppers could actually test out entertainment products before they buy them, just like they are accustomed to doing with our furniture and spas.”

During opening weekend, both new stores saw many repeat customers, buying up everything from patio furniture and pool supplies to pools and spas.  Backyard fun items were also a huge hit with visitors and customers enjoyed the opportunity to experience the fun before they actually made a purchase.
