Andrew Morgan to debut woven fabrics at HD Expo

Signature color, texture and technology available for the first time in woven textiles

Expanding signature qualities that made his textile collections sought after in the luxury hospitality market, Andrew Morgan will introduce Gestrum at this month’s Hospitality Design Expo in Las Vegas.

Gestrum by Andrew Morgan incorporates the innovative use of color, pattern and texture he has become known for with luxury knitted textiles into his new collection of throws, quilts, pillows and bed skirts in custom woven fabrics.

This collection will debut May 18-20 in booth 5318 at the 2010 Hospitality Design Expo Conference in Las Vegas at the Sands Convention & Expo Center.

“So many luxury brands have grown to love Andrew Morgan Collection and Gestrum will provide the opportunity for many of the other brands within their families to access my designs for the first time,” Andrew Morgan said. “Gestrum maintains the quality and design aesthetics of my knit collection while allowing me to explore and create new inspirations in woven materials.”

Gestrum uses modern tapestries and menswear tweeds for inspiration along with culture and travel to create a design palette that is rich and romantic as well as modern, clean and tailored.

“Whether it is the beauty of the shawls of Tibet and Nepal, or the Indigo Woodcuts Kimonos from Japan, I have drawn upon these inspirations to create a modern aesthetic with Gestrum,” Morgan said. “Whether you want to feel transported to a villa in Tuscany or a Townhouse in Kensington, Gestrum will take you there.”

Gestrum includes a hip throw called the Pod Pad, along with a techno patented bed skirts called Bedsock and Bedfrok, and a comfy patchwork blanket Pod Hodgepodge.

The hospitality industry continues to remain a fan of the Andrew Morgan Collection, with many leading properties recently ordering his collections for their rooms including Hyatt Huntington Beach, Marriott Desert Ridge, Hilton Myrtle Beach and Renaissance Brussels and several more choosing his lines for their spas including Encore Las Vegas, Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, Marina Abu Dhabi, Fairmont Jasper and St. Regis Princeville Spa Hawaii.

In addition to showcasing Gestrum at the HD Expo, Morgan will offer a preview of the Andrew Morgan 2010 Collection line. This collection is a celebration of imagination and enchantment evoking the aura of living within a mystical world with rich and dreamy colors including jade, aqua and platinum along with texture patterns that reflect the imagery of roses and peacock feathers. Along with the fantasy of faraway places and shimmering colors, this exquisite collection will be made from Ami-Vert fibers a patented and revolutionary fiber which is not only environmentally friendly but can also withstand everyday indoor and outdoor wear while retaining its luxurious look and feel.

Andrew Morgan Collection is one of the nation’s leading eco-friendly and luxury textile manufacturers. Andrew Morgan founded the company in 2000, following his successful 18-year career as a ready-to-wear design director. Andrew Morgan Collection develops exciting new textile products for the home, hospitality and resort spa marketplaces, merging innovative technology, design and sustainability with a modern-day sensibility and sensuous ultra-luxe appeal.
