Disney lineup broadened

Just one year after unveiling the first products for its Disney Home licensed line of bedding for discounters and mass merchants, WestPoint Stevens has honed in on that retail channel with a much broader offering.
Reminiscent of the broad scope of products introduced last market by the major mill for specialty chains and department stores, fully coordinated bed and bath statements were unveiled.
Stroll in the Woods, Up Up and Away, Buzz Lightyear, Flower Power, Love's First Kiss, Pretty in Pink, Pooh and Tigger, Bouncerrific and Mickey Gingham are all new and continue to follow the four original character offerings, Winnie the Pooh, Buzz Lightyear, Mickey Mouse and Princesses.
Sheets sets will be offered at a $14.99 twin retail price point, while comforters will start at $29.99 for a twin. New to the line will be coordinating quilts, which will debut at a $49.99 retail price point.
Representing a new area of business for WestPoint Stevens, three different throw constructions will augment the Disney Home mix: a fleece for $14.99 retail, a jacquard at $19.99 and a raschel for $29.99. Approximately 18 different designs will be offered for the freestanding collection.
For the bathroom, three different towel constructions — printed, embroidered and heat-transfer — will also bow for market, as well as various bathroom accessory sets and free-standing PVC items including soap holders, toothbrush holders and wastebaskets.
