Playboy to debut Hef loveseat

Playboy Enterprises partnered with Bryan Batt to design The Hef, an iconic limited edition loveseat to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Playboy Clubs.
“The design of the loveseat speaks to the sensibility of a time when suits and sexy were au courant,” Bryan Batt said in a news release.
In addition to being a high-end designer, Batt is an actor on the award-winning drama “Mad Men” as Salvatore Romano. Batt will appear at the loveseat launch event on Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. in the Brownstone Furniture showroom A100 during the winter Las Vegas Market at World Market Center Las Vegas. The Hef loveseat will be on display for the duration of the Feb. 1-6 market.
The Hef features luxury materials including gray mohair upholstery, nail head detailing and rosewood side panels. There will be a limited production of 50 pieces – each signed by Hugh Hefner – and sold exclusively through HazelnutNewOrleans.com.
“We were very excited to have Mr. Batt design an exceptional piece of furniture that not only celebrated the Playboy Clubs, but will become the envy of collectors,” Playboy Enterprises Brand Manager Cory Bangert said.
Hefner, a long-time fan of Batt’s talents as an actor and designer, was eager to add Batt's name to this unique project.
Inspired by the Playboy lifestyle and the legacy of Hefner’s vision, Batt designed a loveseat that represents timeless modern style, class and functionality.
The iconic 1960s era is where American style reigned and Playboy established its place in American culture.
“It was one of the last real iconic design eras,” Batt said. “Everything was streamlined, like the fins on the back of a Cadillac.”
Brownstone offers a full array of bedroom, dining, occasional and upholstery collections. Its signature is to artfully blend the classic look of traditional furniture with the clean lines of contemporary furniture.
