MONTEVALLO, Ala. - Summer Classics has announced a shift in marketing and sales responsibilities, effective May 1.
Jeremy Rago will be relocating back to the Chicago area and will become the Summer Classics factory sales representative for the states of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
Tom Hall will be moving to the territory being vacated by Gary Musengo's retirement and will represent Michigan, Ohio and western Pennsylvania as a Summer Classics factory sales representative.
Rago and Hall will be Summer Classics employees and only represent Summer Classics and Parker James.
Keith Norton will become the vice president of sales and marketing, assuming the same position and responsibilities that Rago served.
Rago started his career with Summer Classics as a factory sales representative in the same territory he will be serving now. According to a company press release, he "has long had a desire to relocate back near his family in the Chicago area and this affords him the opportunity to return back home." Rago received a bachelor's degree in industrial design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Having that product design knowledge allows him to educate customers, the release states, and he also has extensive experience writing showroom orders.
"I have been truly blessed to work directly with the Summer Classics team and look forward to continuing this relationship," Rago said. "There has always been a traditional southern question that was repeatedly asked the first week I moved down here; answer ‘Roll Tide!'"
Hall has been a Summer Classics factory sales representative for eight years in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and metro St. Louis. According to the release, "Tom is excited to take on a new territory and move closer to family in Ohio."
"I am married to my beautiful wife Adriana and we are blessed with three children, Anna Maria, Luke and Gianluca," Hall said. "I received a bachelor's degree in economics from Ohio Wesleyan. I enjoy meeting new people and love the challenges of selling. I like to stay active by doing crossfit and biking in the summer. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my family."
Norton had an extensive marketing and sales background prior to joining Summer Classics in the operations area. "Keith has been a tremendous help in streamlining our operations," the release states.
"I'm married to my beautiful wife Connie and we have two grown sons," Norton said. "When I'm not working at Summer Classics I enjoy playing golf and I'm a huge baseball fan. Prior to joining Summer Classics, I spent many years working with several corporations including Coca-Cola, Nestle and Russell Athletic. I'm a graduate of the University of Alabama and was a catcher for the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team from 1974-1977. I graduated in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in business administration."
Summer Classics also announced that Kathy George will be the new Summer Classics factory sales representative and Parker James and Gabby sales representative for Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska. George will be a Summer Classics employee and only represent Summer Classics, Parker James and Gabby. She has a background in the casual industry and has worked for the Summer Classics Super Shops dealer for the past two years. She will reside in the Kansas City area.
The company also announced the hiring of Steve Allegrezza, who will be working in the sales and marketing department. Both will be attending the upcoming spring High Point Market.
"I'm an avid road biker and swimmer," George said. "I love kayaking, hiking and all water sports. I'm a mother of three grown daughters. I spend free time outside sporting with my trusty sidekick, Hamish, my Westie. I left my career in human resources to pursue my love for customer service. I have built a reputation by building long standing relationships with my clients. I'm known for my friendly and enthusiastic approach among my clientele. I'm very results driven and I excel at uncovering customer needs, finding solutions and handling objections."
"I'm 28 years old and pride myself for being approachable, friendly, outgoing and of course having a sense of humor," Allegrezza said. "My background is a mix of instructional teaching, customer service and retail management. Until now, the highlight of my career has been working at Apple as a technician, trainer and team leader. I attended school at Embry Riddle for Aeronautical Science and received my pilot's license while in attendance. In my spare time, I enjoy staying active and being outdoors. I'm also captain on two ice hockey teams and I have helped coach local youth teams. I am excited to join the Summer Classic's team, and look forward to meeting everyone."
