GDA Staff -- Casual Living, February 17, 2012
Fred Gilbert of Casual Resources, Connecticut, has been voted by the Gloster management team as 2011 Contract Rep of the Year and presented with his award during Gloster Advanced Learning Academy, held Feb. 2-3 at the company's South Boston, Va. headquarters.
Gilbert manages the New England and New York region on behalf of Gloster.
"Fred has been an exemplary sales representative for many years and this year in particular," said Gloster's National Contract Sales Manager David Meeks. "Not only is Fred a seasoned outdoor furniture salesman, he also is a true team player and goes the extra mile to represent Gloster as well as his customers. I look forward to working with Fred this season and for many seasons to come."
Contract GALA is an annual Gloster event. Sales representatives from across the United States and Canada
visit the Gloster's U.S. headquarters to preview new collections, provide critical market input and discuss sales strategies and goals for the upcoming season.
"It is an honor to be recognized by the management team at Gloster for the efforts put forth by my organization this past year," Gilbert said. "Without the support of the Gloster sales team, customer service and the many people behind the scenes at the factory, we would not have been able to achieve the growth we experienced and opportunities we had this year.
"Being part of the Gloster worldwide organization enables Casual Resources to present world-class designs and the highest quality products to the best designers/specifiers and hospitality professionals who look for unique ways to express their own style in outdoor spaces," Gilbert added. "My team, consisting of my wife Deborah and son Eric will continue to promote the Gloster name and expose our customers to the innovative products that Gloster offers."
