Bambrella, a parasol company based here, announced the formation of BambrellaUSA Inc., the company's new exclusive distributor for the United States market.

The recently-created entity is owned and operated by Gary Ecoff, the former president and founder of Boca Raton, Fla.-based retail chain Carls Patio Inc.

"We think it's brilliant that we were able to solidify this arrangement for sales and distribution in America with someone who has 25 years' experience in the industry and the institutional knowledge of the American Garden Furniture market," Bambrella's Director Rupert Bottomley and Fellow Director Jan Aukstolis said in a joint statement.

Bambrella2Bambrella products are manufactured using FSC certified Moso Bamboo.
"I am thrilled to play a role in bringing this line into the United States," Ecoff said. "I have always enjoyed working with the best products available and Bambrella is certainly one of them. It is a very warm and natural product. Produced from FSC certified Bamboo forests, it has a terrific ‘green' story, and with Bamboo having the strength equivalent of steel, it has a great durability story. BambrellaUSA is also pledging 1% of sales to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment."

With patented designs and innovative technology Bambrella manufactures parasols using FSC certified Moso Bamboo. Click here for a demonstration video.

BambrellaUSA will maintain a fully stocked warehouse of umbrellas as well as umbrella frames that can be quickly customized to meet the needs of retailers, contract specifiers and the design community. They have already engaged representatives to cover key markets around the country.

They will exhibit at this month's Casual Market in space 8-1086, the High Point Furniture Market in October and the Las Vegas Market in January.
