Nadeau opens in Charlotte

Nadeu -- Furniture with a Soul, an importer of stylish handmade furnishings, opened in Charlotte on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 3100 South Blvd. The furniture and accessory store is located a few miles south of uptown Charlotte and less than a 10 minute drive to South Park, Dilworth suburbs, Myers Park and Bank of America Stadium.
A wide array of indoor and outdoor furniture is offered at Nadeau.
The 7,284-sq.-ft. showroom features a large selection of hardwood pieces that have been hand-painted, carved and stained by local craftsmen in India and Indonesia. Nadeau's unique looks have kept loyal customers coming back to its 18 other retail locations (Austin, Texas; Birmingham, Ala.; Buckhead, Ga.; Charleston, S.C.; Chicago; Dallas; Houston; Huntsville, Ala.; Marietta, Ga.; Miami; Minneapolis; Nashville, Tenn.; New Orleans; New York; Philadelphia; Savannah, Ga.; Washington, D.C.; and West Hollywood, Calif.) for more than 20 years.
Once to-the-trade only, Nadeau recently opened to the public - offering its low, wholesale prices to everyone. Store Manager Robert Young predicts that these pieces won't last long. "We get in a new shipment every two weeks, sometimes three times a week. And we don't know what will arrive from week to week, so it's always like Christmas," he said.
Adirondack-style knows no bounds.
Although they don't know what's in the next shipment, sales associates will be more than happy to take your contact information and let you know when your right color arrives.
With summer in full swing, and outdoor living at its height, Nadeau also offers up unique garden furniture to accommodate all.
Nadeu is open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon - 5 p.m. Sunday. Nadeau changes inventory often so customers are encouraged to shop and take home from the floor.
Capiz blocks double as end tables or ottomans.
A bold slice of orange brightens the outdoor room.
