Lynx hires Revolve Design for luxury grill innovation

Grill Column

-- Casual Living, 2/1/2009 12:00:00 AM

Lynx Professional Grills retained Huntington Beach, Calif.-based Revolve Design — founded by Randy Rummel and Dan Nichols — to assist in designing and developing the company's next generation luxury grill.

"Lynx is synonymous with continuous innovation, a commitment demonstrated in both meaningful improvements and new product designs," said Lynx Professional Grills CEO Bret Hadley. "We have a desire to take a significant step forward in the industry and Revolve Design is the right partner for this venture. Together, we will collaborate to design a luxury grill from the ground up and with the most innovative features."

Rummel and Nichols, who were behind the design and innovation of DCS Grills nearly a decade ago, will work hand-in-hand with Lynx to examine every facet of the grill from form and function to how the consumer entertains and prepares food. The goal will be to enhance the outdoor cooking and entertaining experience for the consumer.

"We've always admired Lynx's loyalty to the high-end customer and their retail partners, as well as the superior metal finishing capabilities that are clearly evident on every Lynx product," Rummel said. "Expect a very innovative design that utilizes the best of new cooking technologies — a design that rises above the 'sameness' that has permeated the current grill market."

Nichols added, "We're excited to align with Lynx on this project because they share our enthusiasm and passion for grilling products."

Lynx will exhibit during the HPB Expo, March 19–21 in Reno, Nev.
