Duraflame Stax firelogs hits stores this month
Multipurpose, stackable and crackling product designed for fireplaces, outdoor fire pits and wood stoves

Duraflame is releasing its new Stax™ logs to stores this month. The multipurpose, stackable and crackling firelogs can be used in outdoor fire pits. Stax logs look and burn like real firewood with the features of a traditional duraflame firelog -- cleaner burning, safe, convenient, renewable and easy-to-use.
Unlike other duraflame logs, several Stax logs can be used at the same time, and extra logs can be added as needed. That’s because Stax log formula has a lower Btu content per pound than traditional firelogs.
“Consumers have asked for a product like this for years and we have responded,” said Chris Caron, vice president of brand development for Duraflame, Inc. “Consumers will now be able to enjoy a convenient and wood-like fire that burns warmer than firelogs.”
Sold in three-log and six-log pre-packaged bundles, Stax logs create a quick fire. One three-log bundle produces an evening’s fire. A six-log bundle is perfect for two or three fires. Stax logs will have packaging with a lighting strip that starts easily with a match or lighter.
I tried them for the first time tonight. Wow! I was impressed. Three really do provide heat for at least four or five hours for $7 at my local store and you don't need to poke them. I'm in CA and we are expecting storms next week so I'll be stocking up on Stax! Well done, Stax. I appreciate it. I don't know how you did it but did it you did. :)
Crackle Stax next? Please? :) That should be an easy addition ... I was a chemist at one time. :)

I hope these new STAX logs are as good as you claim them to be. I am a
long time user of Duraflame and I have to tell you that your newest so
called "Extra Duraflame" logs are an inferior product compared to logs
manufactured in the years past. You say they are faster lighting with
more robust flames. While this is all true, they simply don't last. The so
called robust flames are robust for about 60-90 minutes and then you get
basically nothing but smoke as the log fizzles. In the past, you could
always count on at least 2 1/2 hours for solid burning; even three
hours in some cases. Such is not the case now. Further, the cost has
increased while the quality has decreased.

Are they safe to cook over?
