2008 Apollo Award
Nominees survive economy with service
By Chris Gigley -- Casual Living, 9/1/2008 12:00:00 AM
Casual Furniture retailers across the country are dealing with the fallout of a housing crunch, rising gasoline prices and increasing wholesale costs. What’s saving a few of them is their exceptional customer service, which keeps customers spending despite the economic conditions.
Service at the following retailers has been good enough to earn them Apollo Award nominations. Finalists will be honored and the winners announced at a gala awards banquet Sept. 17, during the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market in Chicago. The ICFA and Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. are co-sponsors of the event, to be held at Chicago’s Navy Pier.
