Paddock Pools fabricates sweet dreams for Phoenix Children’s Hospital
Company donates 220 custom pillowcases to Arizona’s only freestanding, pediatric specialty hospital

Paddock Pools Patios & Spas is known as the Southwest’s largest pool, spa, patio retailer in Arizona and Nevada. But recently, they set aside creating the perfect backyard to team with Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Faces on Cases to lift the spirits of children who often miss out on the luxuries of home due to hospitalization. Paddock Pools delivered 220 custom-designed pillowcases to patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
“We believe a tender, yet simple gift like a pillowcase will lift a child’s spirit,” said David Ghiz, president of Paddock Pools’ Retail Division. “It gives them something to call their own as they put their head down to rest.”
Phoenix Children’s Hospital patients chose from four screen-printed pillowcase designs featuring teddy bears, trains, stars/moons and hot air balloons. Each pillowcase was decorated with inspirational messages including “as you wake up every morning and go to bed at night, a smile is what you should try to give as you love, laugh, and live.” Carol Wrolstad, of Faces on Cases, dreamed up the pillowcase donation and artwork.
Ghiz said giving back to the community is an essential component of Paddock Pools’ business. The company supports Phoenix Children's Hospital, Phoenix Suns Charities, Boys & Girls Clubs, Special Olympics and more community organizations.
