Crimson Casual brings home American-made casual furniture

Industry news

-- Casual Living, 2/1/2010 12:00:00 AM

The founders of Crimson Casual think “Made in America” is still a phrase to be proud of, and the team of industry veterans has joined forces to produce upscale American-made casual furniture using materials and machinery made in the USA.

The management team, which has more than 200 years of design, engineering, manufacturing, product and customer service experience, took time to research what the market wanted in design and price. In the planning stages since February 2009, Crimson Casual will begin manufacturing this month in Haleyville, Ala.

While most of its competitors manufacture outside the United States or assemble products in America from pieces made in other countries, Crimson Casual will use raw materials from Tennessee, Florida, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Alabama, using machinery made in Ohio, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Even the forklifts in the plant were American made. The product is 100% American made, by American workers.

The Crimson Casual workforce has been producing top quality casual furniture since 1975. Crimson uses CNC-machined parts, thicker wall aluminum and an elaborate finishing product for the best in American quality.

Owned by a private investment group, Crimson Casual is headed by Chairman and CEO Jon Bennett, COO Tim Smith and Director Bobby Tesney.

Tesney is the former president of Winston Furniture Company and former CEO of Winslow Furniture. Under his leadership his companies introduced innovations in sling and cushion seating, powder coated frames, fabric and a 15 working day order turnaround.

“I am excited to have a role in the casual industry again,” Tesney said. “The team we have assembled at Crimson Casual has experience in our core values.”
