Nautica Outdoor Furniture sets sail

The Nautica Outdoor Furniture Collection hit stores just in time for the summer season.
The collections, in aluminum and wood with signature sailing details, are the result of a licensing agreement reached last year with Vendor Development Group.
“Nautica’s heritage of crisp, classic styling will be a welcome look in the entertaining patios of America,” said Terry Byrnes, president of Vendor Development Group, which began supplying charcoal grills to retailers in 2001.
The design inspiration for Nautica’s outdoor furniture lines was taken from nautical sources, ranging from traditional classic racing yachts to original deck chairs. For example, the white wood slats on the North Bay Collection were inspired by shutters used to protect coastal homes during midsummer storms. Nautica filtered that classic look through a modern lens, reviving it with a burst of color. Clean lines and the simple solid fabric in classic navy piped with white also give this collection its nautical feel.
