Vince Jankowski, vice president of R.H. Peterson Co., died on July 5. Jankowski began his career with the Peterson Company in 1960, working with Bob Peterson to create Real-Fyre Gas Logs. He ran the operation for more than 30 years, serving as the face and heart of the company.
“A man of Vince’s quality, integrity, and fellowship will not pass this way again,” said R.H. Peterson President Leslie Bortz. “His insight, leadership, creativity, sound judgment and trustworthy nature seldom come together so impressively in one man. I am privileged to have learned from him, to have been his colleague and his friend for over 30 years.”
Vince is survived by his wife, Alice; two daughters, Vickie and Paula, and his three grandchildren.
