Barbeques Galore is heating up specialty grill sales in Las Vegas with four stores, which serve customers from as far north as Canada.

International visitors from as far away as Germany stop by the chain’s nearly 20-year-old original Las Vegas location on South Decatur Boulevard. They buy grill products ranging from the store’s proprietary line of Turbo grills to Big Green Eggs, said Felicia Christensen, store director. The Turbo Elite offers commercial-quality 304-grade stainless steel and is available in 3- to 5-burner configurations. Other grill brands the retailer sells include Broil King, Lynx, Viking and Weber.
“We service and have everything to repair their grills,” Christensen said. She added no parts are available to serve the four to six people who come in nearly every day searching for parts to repair grills they bought at mass merchant stores.
While nearby casual furniture retailers reported a decline in their grill sales this year, Barbeques Galore was sticking to its single focus. The concept of outdoor living areas appears inside the store via barstools paired with custom or ready-built grill island options.
Store displays include plenty of grills outside and in, plus large lifestyle grill-related photographs. Near the back of the store, customers can find all the accessories grillers need, from cleaning products to seasonings, marinades, grilling tools and cookbooks.
Barbeques Galore’s 2008 Complete Guide to the Control of Fire sums up the nearly 30-year-old company’s philosophy. “At Barbeques Galore, we take grilling seriously. So you can go out in the backyard and have some fun.”

To help with that goal, the Barbeques Galore Outdoor Cooking School was established in California to teach customers how to take their kitchen to the patio with the help of classically trained chef and The Next Food Network star runner-up Carissa Giacalone. Private events and classes teach novices how to marinade, rub, skewer, smoke, rotisserie and grill like a pro.
Staff members grill out regularly at this and the approximately 70 other Barbeques Galore scattered across the nation in Nevada, Texas, Georgia and Florida.
Burners, Grills, Rock plates, ignitors, etc. appear to be available from www.thebbqdepot.com. They have the stainless (www.thebbqdepot.com/23caststbu.html) and cast iron (www.thebbqdepot.com/23cairpibu.html
).
It also appears to be the same parts for some of the Costco and Sam's bbq's.
Now if someone can find the ceramic block replacements that would be great.

Barbeques Galore came upon hard times due to bad decisions made by Sears and all his puppets. Removing the commission pay structure was one reason. Firing all its experienced managers right at the beginning of the peak season is another of the many reasons that killed the company. Not the state of the economy or the housing market. Barbeques Galore has been around since 1980 and has made through quite a few recessions. Jeffrey Sears blaming the housing market is his way of shifting the blame and not taking responsibility for the mess he created. So in conclusion, I hope you all lose your jobs and Barbeques Galore ceases to exist.

I work at BBQ Galore and I am sad that our company filed. Do you know how many hard working individuals with families are fighting to help keep BBQ Galore in good standing and back in business?
It is unfortunate that the time customers had to wait for parts, but can we all understand that the economy literally has subjected many people, households as well as business to potential failure.
Help Save BBQ Galore...send all your family members in and remember there is always a bigger picture and a huge amount of people that are involved and going through these tough times!
I love BBQ Galore and I will fight to the end or the beginning of a turn around.
Do not give up or subject yourselves to bashing a company that had a vision that unfortunately saw hard times.

How is it that on 15th of August, when this article was posted, Barbeques Galore was "Grilling Hot"? While at the same exact day they were filing chapter 11 protection in California. Does not make sense to me.

I have been very disappointed with parts support offered by BBQ's Galore for their products. Purchased a Turbo Select 5 Burner stainless steel grill almost 5 years ago for about $1200. Time to replace burners, burner bracket, and ignitors. No parts available and parts will not return my phonecalls. Tried to call corporate and they won't return my phonecalls. Have to trash grill. Back to Sears - much better value and they support their products forever.
