Woodstock Chimes names Canadian distributor

Design Home Gift & Paper now representing chimes

-- Casual Living, 2/9/2009 9:58:00 AM

Woodstock Chimes, manufacturer of precision-tuned wind chimes, recently signed an agreement with Canadian distributor Design Home Gift & Paper. A leading sales agency of the Canadian giftware industry, Design Home Gift & Paper will be solely responsible for distribution of Woodstock Chimes throughout Canada.

This change marks another milestone for Woodstock Chimes in early 2009, as it is celebrating its 30th anniversary and recently announced its acquisition of Asli Arts.

"2009 will be an outstanding year for the company," said Garry Kvistad, owner and CEO of Woodstock Chimes. "I sincerely believe our partnership with Design Home will further strengthen our presence in the Canadian market and continue to propel Woodstock Chimes' business throughout our 30th year and beyond."

Design Home Gift & Paper was founded in 1998 by Jay Djang and Sam Rossi to meet the growing demand of the Canadian giftware industry for attractive, marketable products from leading U.S. suppliers. With roots as a traditional "stocking" distributor, and an extensive sales and marketing background in all regions of the U.S. gift industry, Djang and Rossi recognized the need to supply U.S. lines in a comprehensive and consolidated basis, while making it streamlined and seamless for the Canadian retailer to acquire these products.

Design Home currently represents 15 lines and 60,000 SKUs in contemporary lifestyle and traditional home decor, accent furniture, garden accessories, candles, kitchen coordinates, gift packaging, stationery, greeting cards, paper tableware, lamps, wall decor, clocks, tabletop and glassware. All product lines are represented nationally through a divisional sales force supported by an administrative, sales and marketing management infrastructure. Design Home services 6,000 independent retailers and regional/national chains, in all categories of trade including general gift, museum, gallery, garden center, florist, hospital gift, stationery, book, furniture, home decor and lifestyle accounts.

"I'm eager to see Woodstock Chimes' products flourish as part of the Design Home family," said Djang, owner of Design Home Gift & Paper. "This is sure to be a wonderful experience for both parties."

Woodstock Chimes recently joined Design Home Gift & Paper at the CGTA Show in its permanent showroom and a temporary booth in Toronto Congress Center’s North Building.
