ICFA announces 50th annual Apollo Awards finalists

The International Casual Furnishings Association announces finalists for the 50th annual Apollo Awards, which recognizes retail excellence in the sales and marketing of outdoor furnishings.

Finalists in the 2009 competition include:

Single Store Category:
Authenteak Outdoor Furniture, Atlanta
Fruehauf’s Patio and Garden, Boulder, Colo.
The Pool and Patio Center, Metairie, La.
Sunnyland Furniture, Dallas
Williams All Seasons, Highland Park, Ill.

Multi-Store Category:
ABSCO Fireplace & Patio, Birmingham, Ala.
Carls Patio, Boca Raton, Fla.
Fishels, Portland, Ore.
Greenhouse Mall, Austin, Texas
Patios Plus, Rancho Mirage, Calif.

Finalists must demonstrate outstanding accomplishments and commitment to customer service. The ICFA Board of Directors will select the two winners by secret ballot at an upcoming meeting. Finalists will be honored and the winners announced at a gala awards banquet Sept. 23, during the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market in Chicago. The ICFA and Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. are co-sponsors of the event. For the program’s 50th anniversary, the awards dinner will be held in the Great Hall at Chicago’s Union Station.
