Bullfrog Spas keeps green focus
Company recognized for compliance with provisions in the California Energy Commission’s appliance efficiency regulations

In today’s world where less is more and environmental concern is reaching new heights, Bullfrog International is producing a unique spa powered by the JetPak system, a patented technology resulting in an energy efficient spa with incredible power. The Bullfrog Spa is also constructed without wood and does not use fiberglass, allowing for truly green construction.
Bullfrog is able to do more with less because of its innovative design. The greatest factor to determine spa energy consumption is how well a spa can retain the heat it creates. Bullfrog Spas are built with 100% closed-cell, full foam insulation to maximize protection against heat loss. And unlike other spas, a Bullfrog Spa does not have a large network of plumbing underneath the spa. Instead, 90% of the jets and jet plumbing are on the back of each JetPak, located inside the hot water. Any heat escaping through the pipe is transferred into the spa water, heating the spa and recycling the energy. Bullfrog Spas also recycle energy by using warm air from the equipment compartment to heat the water in the spa, rather than using cold air outside the spa.
The Bullfrog Spa Base is made from ABS plastic and the frame is injection molded, yielding exact precision in the manufacturing process. The no wood aspect not only allows the Bullfrog Spa to last indefinitely, but also saves multiple trees along the way.
Bullfrog International was recently recognized for being in compliance with applicable provisions in the California Energy Commission’s appliance efficiency regulations.
“Energy efficiency is something we don’t take lightly,” said Alex Eddington, compliance officer for Bullfrog Spas. “We utilized the CEC-adopted test procedures to evaluate our entire product line and we have met and are in full compliance with those standards.” Bullfrog accomplished this compliance without any modifications to the production version of each Bullfrog Spa Model.
Bullfrog’s commitment to the efficient use of energy is apparent not only in the finished product but in the company’s overall operations philosophy. In May, Bullfrog International was presented the Environmental Stewardship Award by Orion Energy Systems, a power technology enterprise.
