Rick Grant, former president of the Hendricks Furniture Group, parent company of North Carolina-based retailer Boyles Furniture, has been named to the new position of vice president of operations for Charleston Forge.
Grant brings more than 30 years of management experience to the family-owned producer of wood and metal furniture.
Before joining the Hendricks Group, Grant spent five years as vice president of operations for Fort Myers, Fla.-based retailer Robb & Stucky. He also was president and CEO of Classic Moving and Storage, a nationwide furniture delivery service.
"This is a major positive step forward for our company," said Art Barber, Charleston Forge's chairman and CEO.
"Rick brings us a wealth of management skills. He thrives on organizational details and loves the challenge of steering a company through the turbulent times like our industry and many others are facing today," Barber said. "My wife, Susan, and I are thrilled that our young staff will have the opportunity to learn and grow under the leadership of such a dynamic individual." — Furniture Today staff
