With 10 years in manufacturing sustainable home furnishings and a newly expanded showroom, Groovystuff recently won the U.S. Local Business Association’s 2008 Dallas award in its Furniture category.
The USLBA Best of Local Business Award program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Winners are determined based on information gathered both internally by the Washington, D.C.-based USLBA organization and data provided by third parties. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. The 2008 USLBA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. These local companies enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Founded in 1998 by Chris Bruning and Jeff Singleton, Groovystuff designs, produces and distributes reclaimed teak home furnishings at upper-medium and high-end price points. Designed for today’s lifestyles and inspired by yesterday’s antiquities, Groovystuff offers six residential collections: Prairie, Iron Horse, Adirondack, Back to the Roots, Kodiak and Rocky Mountain. Each group features pieces designed with the foundation of style, value, longevity and preservation of natural resources.
Committed to sustainable manufacturing and environmental accountability, Groovystuff is a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council and the American Home Furnishings Alliance. The Dallas-based company has permanent showrooms at Las Vegas Market in World Market Center, A642, and High Point Market in Suites at Market Square, G-1148. Groovystuff also exhibits at the International Casual Furniture Market in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart, 8-9036A.
