Laneventure moves to Merchandise Mart’s 15th floor

Showroom expands by 20 percent

-- Casual Living, 10/22/2007 6:36:00 AM

Laneventure is expanding its Chicago showroom from The Merchandise Mart’s 17th floor to the 15th floor, home of Market Square Chicago.

Market Square Chicago taps the growing demand for home accents and furnishings that bridge fine retail and the luxury resources of the Design Center – satisfying both designers and lifestyle retailers with choice, convenience and quality. The addition of Laneventure and its growing lines of furniture for both outdoors and indoors will enhance the product offerings within Market Square. Laneventure features collections by artist/designer Bob Timberlake and renowned design talents Celerie Kemble, Raymond Waites, Mimi McMakin and Brooke Huttig.

“This move helps us showcase a larger portion of our product assortment,” said Art Thompson, president, Laneventure. “By moving to the 15th floor, we will be also be able to get our products in front of more customers, especially the interior designers that already shop Market Square every day.”

The company’s new showroom on the 15th floor will be 20% larger than its former space on the 17th floor. The expansion will accommodate introductions of more designer collections.

“Laneventure’s move and expansion at The Merchandise Mart answers the growing needs of the Casual industry,” said John H. Brennen III, executive vice president, Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. “Consumers are spending more money on their outdoor spaces than ever before.”

Laneventure expects an early Spring 2008 opening for its new home in showroom 1551. The showroom will be open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. to the design trade and their customers. Additionally, the showroom will be open during the 2008 July Casual Furniture Premarket and September 2008 International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market.
