CFR recognizes manufacturer partners

Staff -- Casual Living, 10/1/2006 12:00:00 AM

The Casual Furniture Retailers Association presented its Manufacturer Leadership Awards during the Casual Market, held last month in Chicago.

Established in 1990, the awards are given to honor excellence in casual furniture manufacturers, taking into consideration ethics, customer service, quality designs and more throughout the year.

Winston Furniture received the top award in the furniture manufacturer category. Other winners in that category were Gloster for wood; Hanamint, cast aluminum; Lloyd/Flanders, wicker, and Meadowcraft, iron.

Treasure Garden won first place in the accessories category for the second consecutive year. Finalists were Galtech, The HammockSource, Pacific Rim and Tervis Tumbler.

"To be recognized two years in a row is a tremendous honor," said Margaret Chang, chief operating officer.

Oliver Ma, Treasure Garden president/CEO, later said the award is the fifth such Manufacturer Leadership Award for his company. "It's proof the Treasure Garden team really serves the needs of patio shops," Ma said. More than 1,000 high-end patio shops in the United States alone are served by Treasure Garden, he added.

Casual furniture retailers, designers and manufacturers share a table at the industry breakfast.
