Outdoor Lifestyle debuts eco-friendly outdoor cushions
using soy-based foam and recycled material

Outdoor Lifestyle has turned its attention to environmentally friendly materials in its outdoor cushions, first exhibited at the Preview Show. The cushions use a soy-based foam and regenerated fiber fill made from recycled plastic waste.
Soy is an easily renewable resource and using soy saves both petroleum and energy. The company says that the soy-based foam has the same rate of retention as petrol-based foam, so it “sits” the same.
The seat cushion uses a slab of the soy foam, encased in soft recycled fiber fill while the back cushion is constructed from three separate chambers of fiber fill. Both cushions are covered with a Teflon-treated casing to make them weather resistant.
As a founding member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, Outdoor Lifestyle stays committed to meeting its customers’ style, value and eco-responsibility goals.
“We take care of the little details so you don’t have to,” said Kathy Haney, vice president. “Our products are proudly assembled and finished in the USA, with only select retailers representing our products. Our customers and end consumers can sit back relax and unwind while enjoying their sense of style with the quality they deserve.”
