Harrow's re-emerges

Veteran casual furniture retailer Ken Ehrlich won legal rights to the name assets of Harrow's, a major New York-based casual furniture retailer that filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy late last year.
Ehrlich opened a 10,000-sq.-ft. Harrow's outdoor furniture store in Huntington Station, N.Y., in April. He expected to open a second store this month.
"The tougher part was getting my name back; it's been in our family for 80 years," Ehrlich said, noting he outbid another specialty retailer that wanted rights to the name. "I'm happy to have the store, my name back and start going forward again."
The outdoor furniture lines Harrow's carries include Tropitone, Lloyd/Flanders, Mallin, Pride Family Brands, Erwin & Sons and Treasure Garden.
