ICFA announces 2008 Apollo Award finalists
Winners to be announced in September

The International Casual Furnishings Association announces finalists for the 2008 Apollo Awards. The annual award program recognizes retail excellence in the sales and marketing of outdoor furnishings.
Finalists must demonstrate outstanding accomplishments and commitment to customer service. ICFA manufacturer members will select the winners in August. Finalists will be honored and the winners announced at a gala awards banquet Sept. 17, during the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market in Chicago. The ICFA and Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. are co-sponsors of the event, to be held at Chicago’s Navy Pier.

Congratulations to all the 2008 finalists! I'm sure they are all great stores, but I can't believe the field could be so limited that these same names appear year after year. Not to take anything away from this year's finalists, but I have to agree with Roy that it may be time to expand the nominating process to include other deserving stores.

Seems like the same people every year. You might find a few more patio shops that are worthy of nomination if you'd expand the process.
