New River Casual Furniture combines office, warehouse

New warehouse manager, customer service rep named

In an effort to streamline transactions and better serve customers, New River Casual Furniture combined its U.S. corporate office and furniture warehouse into one location in Virginia Beach, Va.

"We believe this move is essential to our continued growth and supports our ongoing strategy and strong commitment to properly support the retail market with our well-received current product line," said Michael Mettendorf, vice president of sales and marketing.

In addition, New River hired P.J. Olds as warehouse manager. Olds formerly was warehouse manager for M&G Electronics and shipping & receiving manager for Room Store Furniture.

Dee Overturf was named customer service representative for New River, which supports and adheres to environmentally responsible practices for its Brazilian cherry outdoor furniture.
