Paddock Pools, Patios & Spas names CFO, opens superstore and holiday shop

Staff -- Casual Living, 2/1/2006 12:00:00 AM

Paddock Pools, Patios & Spas hired Sean Keven Nolen as chief financial officer for the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based retail corporation.

"With our rapid growth plans in both Phoenix and Las Vegas markets, the time was right to create the position of CFO and hire a financial professional with strong CFO experience," said Buzz Ghiz, pool division president.

Since 1999, Nolen has served as vice president, CFO, treasurer and secretary for CAVCO Industries in the manufactured housing industry. He will report directly to Ghiz.

The addition of a CFO rounds out an aggressive hiring campaign Paddock started in 2005. Earlier in the year, the company brought John Ball on board as senior vice president of retail merchandising and Ted Ciccone as vice president of marketing and advertising.

The company's rapid growth plans were kicked off in the fall with the grand opening of its 15,000-sq.-ft. outdoor living superstore in Chandler, Ariz.

The superstore offers the Valley's largest selection of unique products in a variety of categories including pool supplies, pool toys and games, patio furnishings, decorative accessories, fire pits, custom BBQ grills and outdoor kitchens.

"We have a complete new store design that will make it easy, fun and affordable for everyone to enjoy their back yard whether they have a large yard or small patio, a pool or no pool," David Ghiz said.

Paddock also opened a holiday season only Magic of Christmas location in the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall.
