Modern Home Products debuts Scottsdale Series

MHP also adds infrared technology to ProFire Hybrid line

Modern Home Products Corp. launched the Scottsdale Series stainless steel gas grill for 2009. 
       
For use as a grill, roaster, steamer or smoker, the series features a stainless steel cooking grid, stainless steel dual burner with individual controls, electronic ignition system and stainless steel side shelf. The Scottsdale comes with 400 square inches of cooking surface, 25,000 Btus and an exclusive “Sta-Kool” stainless steel lid handle that swivels as it lifts. The series is available with a black aluminum or stainless steel column mounted on a permanent mold cast aluminum portable base with 6-inch rubber wheels. 
      
The Scottsdale utilizes an indirect, reduced flare-up cooking technique. Its unique design circulates the heat inside the grill and shields food from the open flame. While it’s cooking, the juices drip down onto the stainless steel drip pan, providing sizzle and releasing smoke flavor that circulates back up, around and into the food. Excess grease is directed into the large collector bucket, eliminating unwanted flavor damaging flare-ups. Suggested retail is approximately $1,000 depending on mountings and upgrade options. 
     
Additionally, MHP subsidiary ProFire Grills added an infrared sear zone in its Hybrid grill line. The infrared sear zone provides time-saving grilling while the standard burners are for traditional grilling. 
       
The spacious 32,000 Btu infrared burner quickly seals the meat juices in for more moist results and incorporates its own electronic ignitions and control. Other features include a double-walled high profile seamless lid, accented with a polished mirror finish. Unusual flavor plates distribute heat evenly over the entire cooking surface of the traditional grilling section. Commercial grade stainless steel cooking grids, electronic ignition and dual purpose thermometer are standard equipment. The PF Hybrid Series includes 27-, 36- and 48-inch models.
