Carls Patio continues growth

New store is the third Berks Luxury Outdoor Furniture location

Coconut Creek, Fla.-based outdoor furniture specialist Carls Patio announced the opening of its newest store in Laguna Beach, Calif.
 
Located on the Pacific Coast Highway, the new showroom and sits among the tony boutiques, galleries and restaurants that make up Laguna Beach.
 
Gary Ecoff, president of Carls Patio, reaffirmed its commitment to continued steady growth especially in the California market. “We are just beginning to realize some of the economies of scale associated with having multiple units within a given area,” Ecoff said.
 
The showroom will be the third Berks Luxury Outdoor Furniture store, a 54-year-old brand Carls Patio acquired in 2005. Lyle Ecoff, who heads Carls Patio’s West Coast division, said he is “thrilled to expand the Berks franchise.” He added, “Like Chanel belongs on Rodeo Drive, Berks belongs on the PCH in Laguna Beach.” Carls Patio also operates Saddleback of San Diego, a longtime outdoor furniture retailer and its first acquisition in Southern California.
 
Established in 1993 as a division of Carls Furniture, Carls Patio operates 15 retail showrooms as well as Terrace 436, a to-the-trade showroom located within the Design Center of The Americas (DCOTA) in Dania Beach, Fla.
