Meadowcraft appoints brand and sales managers for specialty division

Brown and Golson been with company for years

-- Casual Living, 5/14/2008 11:42:00 AM

Meadowcraft has appointed Bill Brown to the newly created position of brand manager for its specialty division as well as Kim Golson as sales manager for the same division.

“Bill brings to this new position a valuable inside understanding of the manufacturing operation and its requirements combined as well as his most recent experience with our dealers in two years with the company as one of its regional sales managers,” said  Timothy M. LeRoy, Meadowcraft’s executive vice president of sales. “As we continue to evolve and position Meadowcraft for the future, Meadowcraft has recognized the need for a brand manager position which operates alongside and in cooperation with but separate from the sales function within the company.  Bill will allow us to insure that we take a more national, consistent and focused view of our product offering and vast amount of new product introductions. His experience within the manufacturing operations will ensure the rapid speed to market which is a requirement of today’s business environment.”

Brown and Golson have most recently been Meadowcraft’s specialty regional sales managers. Brown also held various management operational positions with Meadowcraft’s Specialty Manufacturing Plant. Golson has worked with the company for more than 10 years in the sales support and customer service areas.

“Kim will report to Todd Wingrove, Meadowcraft’s vice president of sales and work closely with Todd in the sales and management of the Meadowcraft product line with our specialty dealers,” LeRoy said. “With this change we hope to bring a more consistent direction to the management of the sales and service expectations we have for the rep force  in our specialty distribution channel. Kim’s responsibility will allow us to insure direct and timely communication of both the companies’ direction and our dealer’s needs in the marketplace.”
