Awards given during the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market

Apollo Awards, Manufacturer Leadership Awards and Merchandising Excellence Awards announced

Retailers recognized with Apollo Awards
For the 47th year, the Summer and Casual Furniture Manufacturers Association honored top retailers with an Apollo Award during the Casual Show last week. Winners were awarded in two categories – single store and multistore – as well as second and third place honors.

In the single store category, Sunnyland Furniture received first place; Leisure Living, second, and Dodds & Eder, third.

In the multistore category, Georgia Backyard received first place, Patios Plus, second, and Waterloo Gardens, third place.

CFR recognizes manufacturers
The Casual Furniture Retailers Association  recognized manufacturers with Manufacturer Leadership Awards during the Casual Market, held last week in Chicago. The awards are given to those who have shown excellence, ethics and more throughout the year. Winston Furniture received the top award in the furniture category. Finalists in that category included Gloster, Hanamint, Lloyd/Flanders and Meadowcraft. Treasure Garden won first place in the accessories category for the second consecutive year. Finalists were Galtech, The HammockSource, Pacific Rim and Tervis Tumbler. 2006 Merchandising Excellence Awards announced during Casual Show
Six exhibitors who displayed their product during the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market last week in Chicago were honored for implementing outstanding visual merchandising in their showroom or booth. Awards were given based on effective use of material, graphics, lighting, originality of design, use of space, use of color and texture and visual impact. In the furniture category, Barlow Tyrie, Meadowcraft, Poly-Wood and Emuamericas were honored. In the accessories category, Merritt International and The HammockSource were awarded.
