Designers of 15 products and collections took home Pinnacle Awards as the American Society of Furniture Designers honored the best in the home furnishings business in a gala at the High Point Market.
Winner of the Summer/Casual category was the Latour Lounge Chair by Shaun Sweeney for Woodard. “Eco-chic” was the judges’ description. “The faux bois style and natural look with refined slender proportions easily blends into an outdoor environment."
In casual dining, the winner was Veer by John Caldwell for Tropitone Furniture. Judges commented: “Dynamic and refined, sleek and highly detailed design. A retro theme combines with forward-looking style in graceful forms and a beautiful finish.”
In the accessories category, the award went to Bloomin' Onion Vase by Jeremy Penn for The Phillips Collection. "This is a high-impact design with great outdoor and indoor versatility, offered in an attractive range of finishes."
